Hello everyone,
Today my thoughts are on the Bare Necessities coffee scrub. This particular scrub along with some other products of the above brand were gifted to me by Pinterest as I got the opportunity to join the star community of theirs. At first glimpse I really thought it was an instant coffee powder sort and upon taking a closer read, it was written organic body scrub. Anyway coming to the brand “Bare Necessities”, the founder Sahar Mansoor who is a woman entrepreneur and owner of this brand focuses on pursuit of zero waste living and caring environmental, health and social justice issues associated with our garbage problem. As India vastly populated, people tend to throw a lot of wastes onto the streets or any nook and corner, with regard to this problem the brand was born.
Ethical sourcing from local vendors, making use of organic ingredients are the main criteria. Making zero waste is the norm.

My Experience
The brand as written on the packaging instructs to take small handfuls of the scrub and apply onto wet skin. Scrub the body gently in soft, circular motions for 5-7 minutes. When you first open the lid and take a sniff at the scrub, it simply smells divine just like your coffee. I take small amounts in my palm and gently massage on my wet skin, scrub off the dirt and dead skin cells. My body skin is on the dry side so I was worried if it would make it even more dry, but to my surprise it did not. After massaging with the product I wash it off with water. Keep in mind the granules or rather the milled coffee particles are strong and hence make a good deep exfoliating scrub. I was able to clean the dirt around my ankle area and those corners around my knee where the dirt mostly tends to stick and not go.
With organic coconut oil in this product, the skin gets nourished and feels soft. I was pleasantly surprised when the packaging read only two ingredients which are coconut oil & coffee powder. Hence I fell in love with this product as my skin felt so good after usage. It had a glow to it, now keep in mind your shower area may get messy as this scrub can be all over the place so wash off the area. Coming to the quantity, it is rupees 590 for 90gm which is steep not going to lie. But as it is more of a deep exfoliating scrub, it is recommended to be used once in two to three weeks, hence it may last sufficient time. Overall I like this scrub and would repurchase it. Coming to the claim of reducing cellulites and stretch marks on your skin, this I cannot comment on as I feel every skin is different and stretch marks are very difficult to diminish. However for exfoliation purposes this is a good product.
