Hello Everyone,
These days acid toners are game changers to your skincare routine. With mild percentage of AHA and BHA to a high percentage of acids present, there are so many available in the market these days for various skin types and concerns. Picking out one can be tedious as you need the right one. Today my thoughts are on the Cosrx AHA/BHA clarifying treatment toner.
Cosrx is a Korean skincare brand and their goal aims at tackling skin concerns for various skin types. The term Cosrx is derived from words “cosmetics” (co) and “prescription” (rx). Their belief focuses on saying that cosmetics should be more than just looking beautiful on the outside.

My Experience
This is my second bottle in use and first ever acid toner I used. It is mild and so it can suit all skin types. The Apple fruit water and willow bark water present in it helps to brighten the skin and also reducing skin texture. The brightening part is correct as I noticed that my hyperpigmentation reduced and skin did look a little smooth with usage. But the one thing I noticed is that, when layering a little more of it, my skin got drier, but that goes with all acid toners so I stopped using it for sometime and switched to improving my dry skin. Once my skin became stable, I started using it again, there on after that my skin was fine. Infact after applying the product, it gives a base to layer other products and naturally increases the efficiency of them on the skin. I wouldn’t say I saw a drastic result with the reduction of whiteheads and blackheads but slightly it did fade. Now if you are a beginner this is a good enough exfoliating toner but if you have used acid toners before then this may not yield the necessary results you want. For applying this, spritz the toner onto a cotton pad and swipe all over your face and neck, otherwise spritz it onto your fingers and dab. After cleansing only, use this exfoliating toner. I would recommend twice a week if you are a beginner and then gradually you can use it everyday once your skin has gotten used to it. Mild flaking may take place but that is the dead cells coming off. I would still however recommend using acid toners especially this mild one maybe thrice a week, as using too much of if can cause dryness.
Higher percentage acid toners are mostly used twice a week depending on the nature of performance. This toner is suitable for all skin types. Make sure to use a sunscreen of 30 SPF after using this toner during the day. The packaging is minimal and travel friendly as it is plastic but it’s got a good nozzle or dispenser to spritz the product. For the price this is a steal and the amount you get is sufficient, it can last you a long time. The brand offers their products for affordable price range and thus helps to tackle various skin concerns without damaging your pocket. Overall I like this product.
