Hello Everyone,
Today my review is on the garnier skin naturals serum masks. I bought the Milky Serum Mask Light Complete and Serum Mask Hydra Bomb.
According to the brand these sheet masks are a new generation of tissue masks that help in tackling skin issues such as dark spots, dull skin, lack of hydration and aids in promoting brighter or radiant skin.
Price
INR 99 for 30gm per sheet mask.
Packaging: The sheet masks come folded in sleek packets and the masks have a thin protective blue film as a layer where when applying it on the face you peel of the film side. Each packet can be distinguished via their colors which depicts for which skin it is suitable.
How To Apply: Take out the sheet mask, unfold it and apply the white tissue side to clean face while peeling off the protective blue film from top to bottom slowly. Adjust according to your face dimensions and leave it on for 15 minutes. Remove the mask after the given time and massage the excess serum onto your face or skin. Do not wash it off.
My Experience
First and foremost these sheet mask serums are quite rich in consistency and the tissue of the sheet is a little more thicker than your average sheet masks that you get. I have tried the innisfree and nykaa sheet masks, both have thin feeling to the sheets. And because of that I feel the garnier one holds and presses the serum onto your face better. Also it has a protective blue film attached to it for conveniently helping you apply the mask on your face, and while doing so you peel it off. So that’s a good thing and not many branded sheet masks have a protective layer to it.
Mikey Serum Mask Light Complete
This particular sheet mask is suitable for dull skin with dark spots. It contains vitamin C and milky essence which has the goodness of lemon. One sheet mask equals to one week of serum. This mask in particular as the name suggests is more milky in texture. You leave it on for 15 minutes and take it off. When I first applied this to my skin, the areas around my nose felt tingling or mild burning sensation and also on my Cupid’s bow above my lips. I am not sure why that happened but the rest of the face felt fine. I am assuming it could be due to the vitamin C as I have never tried vitamin C products. When the mask was taken off my skin felt a relief and it looked brighter. There is sticky feeling left on the skin once this is taken off but as time goes by it will completely get absorbed by your skin. As for the claim of reducing dark spots and one serum makes up for a week of your skincare treatment, I cannot say that for one week your face will look glowy or that with one sheet mask the dark spots will be reduced but the first two days after its application my skin looked smooth and radiant. However with constant use of it weekly probably you can make out a difference in your dark spots, that being said you would require four sheet mask for four weeks which adds up to your cost. But when you have functions or parties, these masks can come in handy for giving you that instant bright effect.
Serum Mask Hydra Bomb
This mask is suitable for oily and combination skin. Now I have dehydrated and combination skin type, and it suited well. No irritation or burning sensation was there like the above sheet mask that I used. Similar packaging with the protective blue film on it. But the consistency of this was more jelly watery type. This is a super hydrating purifying tissue mask.It gave me a boost of hydration and my skin looked radiant and brighter. Its main focus of ingredients are green tea and hyaluronic acid. Green tea helps in purifying the skin and reducing excess oil or sebum produced by the skin. Hyaluronic acid helps in boosting and retaining the hydration. Once the mask is taken off the skin is left with a sticky feeling nothing too oily or greasy, but you can massage it and lock it in with your regular moisturizer. I liked this sheet mask, I thought it wouldn’t suit my skin but fortunately it did and skin looked smooth.
Both sheet masks I used at night after cleansing and toning on two different weeks. After peeling off the mask, I massaged the excess serum left behind by the mask onto the skin and locked it in with my moisturizer. Thus next day when I woke up, my skin looked brighter and smooth. Overall I liked garnier skin naturals sheet masks, and I will definitely get the other variants of it to try. Highly recommend these products. Though the milky serum mask that has the vitamin C and lemon in it did irritate my skin but that could be due to my skin type, it didn’t break me out or anything. Also these sheet masks are suitable for sensitive skin as mentioned by the brand.
