Hello everyone,
Today my thoughts are on the bio organic powders and the Bhringraj oil by Indus Valley. Are you a person who loves to use natural homemade masks with organic powders? Then this post is going to be a useful read. My fascination for organic powders basically began last year before COVID when my hair was going through a dry phase. I had tried Alps Goodness brand’s powders like the Amla, and hibiscus, that’s when I realized how healthy my hair was getting with usage. Fast forward to last week when I received these organic powders and the oil, I got excited and tried them out.
Price:
Hibiscus Flower Powder: INR 299 for 100gm
Bhringraj Leaf Powder: INR 199 for 100gm
Bhringraj Oil: INR 299 for 100ml
Packaging: The powders come in packets with the outer packaging to be a box like cardboards. The useful part is that you get a DIY sort of a mini brochure or an instruction manual where by how to make skin or hair masks are written on it, and different products available for this brand. I found that to be very useful and informative. Not many brands do that. The Bhringraj oil comes in a plastic bottle with a gold cap and the brand logo is engraved on the cap which makes it look very elegant.
My Experience
Hibiscus Flower Powder: Hibiscus flowers have their useful properties of making hair and skin healthy. Once these flowers are dried and made powders, they can be benefited, by using it as an anti inflammatory for skin, and for hair as a natural conditioner. This powder is finely milled and thus lump free. Easy to mix in with water and oils. It does wonders to your hair actually, this powder does add shine and soften hair when used as a hair mask. What I like to do is take a table spoon and half, mix it with a little water to make it like a paste and add a few drops of coconut oil or whichever you are using, then leave it on for 30 minutes as per the brand instructions and wash it off. The moment my hair was drying, it felt became soft and a lot healthy as hibiscus is a natural conditioner for your hair. With inculcating this powder into your hair care routine, you can slowly improve hair texture and somewhat get soft hair. Since these powders are free of chemicals and is 100% natural, the brand uses select ECOCERT and USDA certified organic ingredients. The price for this powder is slightly steep but I feel the quality and its natural formulation is worth it. Depending on use it can last probably a month if using it a week as you are only getting 100gms.

Bhringraj Leaf Powder: This product is useful for those people who are going through premature greeting of hair and have hairfall issues. It is a good powder as it does strengthen and adds a healthy shine to the hair. This powder can be mixed with your henna mask, as well as can be used in combination with hibiscus or any other hair packs like mixing it into amla (gooseberry) masks etc. With time this powder will strengthen and reduce hairfall. I love the ingredient Bhringraj as it is one ingredient which is essential for hair care. However you need patience while making your DIY masks and applying them, as these powders will benefit only in the long run. The Bhringraj powder is made from fresh crops and is health friendly. Made purely out of natural ingredients.

Bhringraj Oil: When I opened my package to take out this oil, I was pretty impressed with its look. The bottle is small as you get only 100ml. The bottle comes with a gold cap with the logo engraved with projection sort of font. Upon using it, I felt the oil isn’t heavy but the right amount of consistency and is easy to apply. I leave it on for 20 minutes or so and take a shower. With first use I felt my hair became smoother and healthy. A shine was added to it with use of this oil. Obviously Bhringraj oils are famous and known to promote hair growth, help in premature graying or so. The smell is more like Ayurvedic or how the ingredient Bhringraj smells. But it’s not too strong but rather bearable. The oil is really good though and I want to keep using it. I even use this oil to mix it with the hibiscus powder or Bhringraj powder while making hair masks.
