Hello Ladies!
Today my thoughts are on the Kay Beauty HD setting loose powders. I was confused as to which shade I wanted, as during the lockdown there were no stores to go to, to buy in person the powder. Hence bought it online and went in for the shade banana. But if you are my skin tone which is an NC 40, the shade latte will do for you. The HD loose powder range caters to a variety of skin tones and consists of eight shades, they are banana, vanilla, almond, latte, olive, peacan, toffee, and caramel. There is one more shade which is a translucent white one. They also have an illuminating loose powder but I did not pick up that one. Kay Beauty is a brand created by the famous Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif. The brand consists of lip crayons, eyeshadow sticks, the recently launched highlighters which are beautiful and I am yet to pick up one, and she has created some more products for her brand. The loose powders were released in the month of June.

My Experience
The HD setting loose powder by Kay beauty is extremely finely milled. The shade banana that I picked up has a yellow tint to it, it is like any other universally flattering shade. I was worried if I would like this product as I fall in the category of dry skin and was concerned if it would grab on to my dry patches which in turn would lead to enhancement of skin texture. But I was wrong, this powder is light weight and when you dab it with a brush or press it in with a puff blender, it goes on smoothly. No enhancement of texture whatsoever. I was very impressed. My first ever loose powder that I used was by makeup revolution, in the shade banana, but that powder made my skin look a bit caked up and it felt drying. If you are on the drier side this powder is worth it, otherwise try the rimmel one which is the stay matte pressed powder. The rimmel one is an excellent option for the dry skinned beauties and it consists of a variety of shades. Coming back to the Kay beauty powder, when it comes to the lasting function of it, it lasts but I wouldn’t say for long as staying in a humid country and being constantly exposed to sweat and heat, it will slowly wear of but not like in a bad caked up way. You can layer this powder beautifully and it will not cake up. The shade banana can fairly suite most of the skin tones, however if setting your whole face, then go for the right shade. One thing I have come across and seen some YouTube reviews is that, this powder is tricky to apply with a wet sponge, for some reason the sponge doesn’t pick up and so it’s best applied with a brush or a makeup puff. It doesn’t feel heavy when you wear this powder as well. For the price, the quantity you get is only 10gm which is less actually, so that’s a bummer, however it performs well on the skin, so I am not mad at it but you can get other loose powders for lower price. Overall I enjoy using this lovely powder to set in my makeup.
