Hello lovelies,
Today my thoughts are on the L’Oréal infallible fresh wear foundation. I bought this in the shade 260. At first when this foundation released two years back I was curious to try it but for some reason I held it off. And recently I wanted to buy the M.A.C studio waterweight foundation again as I really like that one but unfortunately did not have the budget, so I felt the L’Oréal infallible fresh wear resembled it in terms of consistency and went ahead and got it. The infallible fresh wear foundation comes in 11 shades here in India.

My Experience
The foundation comes in a sleek glass bottle with a pump to dispense the product. Consistency is runny and texture is smooth and not thick. Does have some sort paint like scent but it’s not strong although I am not fond of the scent. The foundation provides medium to buildable coverage. However I feel upto a medium you can only achieve with it in terms of coverage. I thought this foundation is similar to M.A.C studio waterweight foundation, the L’Oréal one has more pigment so you get good coverage whereas the M.A.C one is sheer to medium coverage. But if you ask me I like the M.A.C foundation more as I feel it’s got a more natural sheer finish. Whereas when I tried fresh wear foundation by L’Oréal it felt as if I am wearing it.
The L’Oréal infallible fresh wear foundation will suit all skin types but if your skin has texture or dry patches this will definitely grab onto it. I did feel that when I applied a second layer just to test it out, it caked up however you can fix it with some makeup fixing spray to smooth out the texture/dry patches. It does have SPF 25 in it so you do get sun protection but that’s not enough so I would suggest you to apply your regular sunscreen before hand. The shade 260 I thought it looked dark upon swatching on my hand since I bought it off online however when I applied it, it looked tad bit light but the shade is fine on my NC 40 skin tone.
I like mixing a drop of skin elixir (facial oil) to make it a little more natural as this foundation does set satin matte on the skin and if you powder it on top it does go complete matte. One thing I noticed is that it lasts a long time on the skin even in humid climates. Since I am combination it holds up fine but if you are oily skin it might last less on you. That being said it is expensive here in India, it costs around 1200 rupees for 30ml which is pricey. You do get the product on sale and that’s when I recommend to buy it. Overall it is an ok foundation but I feel the Milani perfect plus conceal foundation is a better option for the same price.
Pros
- Long lasting
- Easy to blend due to the consistency
Cons
- Shade range could be better, availability for shades India is less compared to U.S.A
- It is expensive
- Can cake up if you don’t prep your skin well
