Hello lovelies,
These days I have been focusing on chemical exfoliation to get rid of my slight acne marks and some texture issues that I have, that’s when I noticed I have gotten lighter and my foundations are a little dark for me. So I decided to get myself a new foundation with my current skin tone shade. I am normally an NC40 but the studio fix fluid by MAC apparently is too warm or dark for me and hence I went in with NC37 and it matches well.
Now I have been eyeing this foundation for long, but the product is expensive and I was worried if it did not match my skin concerns however with research I learnt that most of the makeup lovers or influencers love this foundation so I purchased the mini size from nykaa and there was some offer going on and I received a sample size cult favorite strobe cream.

My Experience
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation NC37: The texture of this foundation is not too thick nor runny rather light weight in feel. NC40 in this range looked a little too warm so I went in with NC37. Had to go in store to get the shade right as sometimes matching online can be a pain. This is a cult favorite of many makeup lovers out there and now I know why. The formula is really good, it does provide medium to high coverage. When a foundation does have good pigment it can look cakey however with this product I feel it looks smooth on my skin, didn’t emphasize texture. Does last long and it doesn’t feel dry either. Unlike some foundations like the L’Oréal infallible fresh wear which does emphasize texture when you build it up. Less is more I always stress when it comes to makeup. The shade NC37 is not too orange rather a little light warm pale so if you don’t have much deep golden undertones go for this shade. Has an spf of 15 but I still recommend in going with your sunscreen during the day time. Overall I really like this foundation and for mini size this is fairly priced for an high end. Major con it doesn’t come with a pump that goes for the full size too.
Strobe Cream: I kept wondering why people swear by this illuminating cream and now I know why, it is simply blends like a dream. At first I was skeptical but when I swatched or felt the texture it felt very nourishing, hydrating and soft. Blends like butter on the skin and provides radiance. I simply fell in love with it. I am definitely going to buy the full size in the future. You have pinklite, goldlite, peachlite and silverlite in this range. I don’t think you have dupes for this although I have seen influencers duping this but it’s similar not an exact dupe. It’s a beautiful illuminating cream and your skin gets this pearl like natural glow, you can mix it with your foundation or apply it all over like a moisturizer or primer on your face.
