Hello ladies,
Today my thoughts are on the nykaa matte to last metallic liquid lipstick and eyeshadow. Not many women are a fan of metallic liquid lipsticks as it reminds you of the early 80’s or 90’s trend however I really like a metallic lip despite that might make me sound cliche. And metallic liquid eyeshadow has become a trend among many as it gives a good payoff when you apply your eye makeup but it does take time to get around in using and applying it, so can’t say it is everyone’s cup of tea. Nykaa launched eight shades in this range. I bought the color ‘I like it’.
Price
625 INR for 5ml
Packaging: The liquid lipstick or eyeshadow comes in a pretty outer metallic cardboard packaging matching to the color of the product in the tube. The brand name and the shade name is printed in a nice font in the front of the package. The rectangular tube is small and classy, where by the bottom of it is see through with the product color shown and the top or the cap is a dual chrome sort of gun metal color. Overall it looks pretty.
Product Description
The product is formulated to reflect a super flattering, pearlised finish aiming to be used as both lipstick and eyeshadow. It is enriched with vitamin E to give an all day moisture look. The finish comes down to a metallic matte.
My Experience
The shade ‘I like it’ is a mauvish nude with prominent hints of purple and pink in it. In the above lighting it’s looking slightly red toned. But when you see it for real it is a mauvish sort shade, a pretty one too. The consistency is not so runny so it doesn’t slip when you apply it as both an eyeshadow or lipstick. But I wouldn’t say you would get a one swipe finish as you need to layer to get an even finish. You need to build or layer when you apply this product on the lids and lips. As an eyeshadow I wouldn’t say it gives a highly reflective finish but more like a satin metallic look. If you want to rock this shade on the lips, apply a lipstick or a lip liner first and then top it off with this metallic lipstick, it would look lovely. The wand or the applicator has a pointed drop making it user friendly to spread the product. You can use a brush to do an eye liner look as well. It is transfer proof and dries down to a metallic matte. It does fade when you have it on your lips after a meal or so. Lasting power is decent. The quantity you get 5ml and at the cost of rupees 625 which I find it slightly expensive but overall it’s a fine product.
